Losing It at Dirty Laundry Exhibition- SOLD

My two new works at the Dirty Laundry exhibition.

The last couple of months have been busy to say the least. I have been very busy at my job over the festive period and I have also started volunteering for CoCA art gallery, which I am thoroughly enjoying. In addition to all this I am working on new art works every week for my next solo show in Wellington. I am loving the busyness, but I really need to get out to more exhibitions and this is one of my biggest goals this year.

Last night I attended the Dirty Laundry exhibition which was a part of the First Thursday event in Sydenham and curated by Warren Feeney and Audrey Baldwin. After viewing the works from so many wonderful artists from all over New Zealand I felt completely humbled and inspired. It was wonderful to be a part of this show and as a result I cannot wait to start my next piece of work tomorrow. What made the evening extra special was that I sold my first art work in an exhibition setting! It was such a different feeling to that of receiving a request for a commissioned piece or someone privately purchasing a work. It has given me a boost of encouragement and again I feel humbled.

I'll post another update soon.
