Gallery Visit: Unknowable @ 241 Chambers Gallery

Stefan Roberts, A moving point; Governors Bay (2011 / 2012 -1 year exposure). Pigment ink on paper, 297 x 167 mm

I enjoyed the opening of Unknowable   at 241 Chambers tonight. Stefan Roberts photography work particularly stood out. Through the use of a pinhole camera and exposure times of up to a year and a half, he has captured stunning images of the suns' daily traverse, as though the sun were an instrument to wield like a pencil. This approach has resulted in some truly magnificent exposures. I would love to see them on an epic scale, but I  still appreciated the smaller framed prints and wish I could have taken one home.

I recommend going along to 241 Chambers to check it out as soon as you get the opportunity...
